When I click on restart, it says it needs an Administrator Password to continue. I am new to Macs ( this is my first one ) and when I insert the disk into the DVD drive, it loads up correctly, and then says it needs to restart to install the OS. The account you want to unlock will now be completely unlocked, allowing you to freely log into the account without any trouble whatsoever. I just recieved an ibook G4 from an online auction I bought, and a copy of OS X Tiger. Type "reboot" and press "Enter" to restart your iBook. The command prompt will tell you twice that you are changing the password for the account you chose to change therefore, enter the name of the account twice (ensure you are typing the name of the account correctly and the "Caps Lock" is off as you will not see what you are typing). users" and press "Enter." Type "Systemstarter" and press "Enter" to run "NetInfo" (this allows you to make changes to the user accounts on your iBook). Type "-uw/" and press "Enter." This will allow you to make changes to the hard drive. Cease holding the two buttons when you see a black computer screen appear with white text. Power on your iBook and press the "Command" and "S" keys at the same time as the computer boots. This will allow you to gain access to your macbook
